Agathiyar kuzhambu is one of the strongest purgative medicine used in siddha siddha system of medicine. It’s a Herbo -mineral combination of drug has multiple therapeutic values. It detoxifies & reduces the abnormal dosha in our body especially vadha dosha & amam. It cleaning our digestive system completely also it acts as an effective detoxifier. if it administrates with different adjuvants it treats different diseases. For examble if its administrate with chukku (zingifer kashayam) it treats vadha disese, administrate with pepper powder it treats ananemia. Commonly it treats the following diseases with different adjuvants. Vadham, pitham, kabam, delirium, orchitis, hydrocele, anamia, dropsy, ascites, migraine, abscess, wounds, skin diseases PCOS, insect bite, poisons, jaundice, bleeding piles etc. physicians commonly used this medicine as a prime day medical treatment for all kind of diseases mentioned in therapeutic description. On 1st day go with “Agathiyar kulambu purgative therapy” and then follow the regular medicine for particular disease will enhance the therapeutic value enormously. On the other hand, “Agathiyar kulambu” acts as an effective external medicine as fumigation, nasal drop for migraine, headache, wound healing and poisonous bite.

FERULA ASAFOETIDA :

Asafoetida has been found to be a good source of antioxidants it helps protect your cells against potential damage caused by unstable molecules called free radicals. As a result, antioxidants may also help protect against chronic inflammation, heart disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes.

PICRORHIZA KURROA :

The root extracts of kutki can reduce the levels of inflammatory mediators involved in inflammatory processes.1 Therefore, kutki might help with inflammation and inflammatory diseases
It could inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi in the body and may help in managing bacterial and fungal infections.
Its extracts have kutkin, which protects the liver by suppressing substances that can harm liver health. The phytochemicals in kutki extracts also help in reducing the liver toxicity caused by alcohol.

ROCK SALT:

It has sodium chloride & sendha namak offers trace levels of several other minerals, including iron, zinc, nickel, cobalt, manganese, and copper
Rock salt is full of minerals and vitamins, which improves digestion, promotes bowel movements, and helps to clean toxic products from the intestine. It also helps to improve the loss of appetite
Rock salt is high in potassium that helps to control blood pressure. Research suggests that rock salt maintain a balance of blood pressure.

SODIUM TETRABORATE DECAHYDRATE (BORAX) :

boron is helpful in supporting bone health in order to prevent osteoporosis and maintain adequate bone mineral density
it helps to increase Estrogen in females and testosterone in meles are two important sex hormones.

ACONITUM FEROX:

It is used for respiratory disorders. It is used to expel out extra phlegm and gives good relief. It is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
It is used as hypotensive agent and used as cardiac tonic
It is used as an anti-dote for rat poisoning, snake & scorpion bite.

NIGELLA SATIVA:

Several compounds found in kalonji, such as thymoquinone, carvacrol, t-anethole and 4-terpineol, are responsible for its potent antioxidant properties.
Kalonji has been shown to be especially effective at lowering cholesterol. studies found that supplementing with kalonji was associated with significant decreases in both total and “bad” LDL cholesterol, as well as blood triglycerides.
kalonji and its components may also be effective against several other types of cancer, including pancreatic, lung, cervical, prostate, skin and colon cancers.

CROTON TIGLIUM :

Jamalgota (Croton Tiglium), also called Purging Croton, is most powerful laxative, which has stimulant action on bowel movement. It has potent effects, which results in cramps during defecation and loose stools.

Take 1 or 2 capsule with prescribed adjuvant. Morning only on an empty stomach.

Dietary recommendations:

Take hot water bath at evening.
Take easily digestible foods especially steamed rice with buttermilk or steamed rice with green gram dhal
Take normal foods without non-veg from the second day of this purgation therapy

Administration of drug causes loose stools 6 to 10 times in a day.
Take plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
Contact your Doctor if frequency of loose stools increases more than 10 times or loose stools do not stop or dehydration or tiredness or any other discomfort during the administration of drug is recommended.
Do not recommend for pregnant, lactation women, old age people, children and people who prone to dehydration.
Do not recommend in severe peptic ulcers, IBS etc.
Take lemon juice if the frequency of loose stools exceeds more than 10 times
If it did not stop take buttermilk or rice with buttermilk
Use “vasambu parpa choornam” which is packed along with the medicine, with honey or buttermilk.
Contact your Doctor, if the episodes of loose stools increase or stools do not stop or dehydration or tiredness or any other discomfort during the administration of drug is recommended.
