Chayavanprasham is the kid’s favorite because of its sweet flavor and texture.! But the truth is that it’s beneficial to the elderly as well and there are no age limitations for this health formula

Amla 

 

With higher concentration of Vitamin C, Amla is an important Chyawanprash ingredient.  Amla is a divine fruit said to have sprouted from the tears of Goddess Lakshmi. Instead of using readily available large hybrid Amlas, Kerala Ayurveda Chyavanprash is made using wild Amlas procured sustainably from the deep forests of Chhattisgarh, that are richer in tannin and are richer in medicinal value.

 

Dasamoolam 

 

The ten Dasha Moola herbs are a group of very potent herbs that are used in Ayurvedic medicine for treating a wide variety of problems. The ten herbs are important Chyawanprash ingredients:

 

Bilva (Aegle marmelos), Syonaka (Oroxylum indicium), Gambhari (Gmelina arborea), Patala (Stereospermum suaveolens), Agnimantha (Premna integrifolia), Salaparni (Desmodium gangeticum), Prishniparni (Uraria picta), Brahati (Solanum indicum), Kantakari (Solanum surattense), Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris).

 

 

Honey

 

Ethically harvested, unprocessed honey from the bee hives located in the pristine, deep forests of India. Wild bees procure nectar in their natural habitat from thick and luscious forests blessed with multiflora and medicinal herbs, away from civilization, and pollution. 

 

 

Jeevaneeya Gana

Amrutha (Tinospora Cordifolia)

 

  • It is used as an adaptogen and for stress management

  • It pacifies all three vitiated Doshas. When there is a Dosha or Dhatu that is at low levels this herb restores it. When there is an increased level of a Dosha or Dhatu, it brings it to normal. So, it is one of the most important herbs to restore the Doshas and Dhatus to normal levels. 

  • This herb is an excellent detoxifier that helps remove the Ama from the body. This helps to treat the cause of a disease or problem at the root. 

  • It is used in traditional medicine for its properties of being an immunomodulator, antacid, analgesic, antioxidant, rejuvenating, anti-inflammatory, digestive, hypoglycemic, anti-constipation, antimutagenic, gastrointestinal protective, detoxifier and hematogenic 

  • It is useful in the Ayurvedic treatment of infection, gout, fever, chronic fever, recurrent colds and infections,  immune deficiency, rheumatoid arthritis, chronic fatigue, and chronic catarrh

  • Since it is an immunomodulator and antipyretic it is very useful in the traditional treatment of infections and fever. It boosts the body’s ability to fight an infection

 

 

Riddhi (Habenaria Intermedia)

 

  • One of the Ashtavarga herbs optimise all the three Doshas and give great health benefits

  • It is used in Ayurveda to enhance strength and in issues caused by the vitiated Rakta and Pitta Doshas

 

 

Shati (Kaempferia Galanga)

 

  • It is used in Ayurveda for pain relief, heal the stomach lining and relieving indigestion

  • It is used in traditional medicine as a stimulant, expectorant, carminative, diuretic and in respiratory ailments

 

Mustha (Cyperus Rotundus)

 

  • It is grass that is used in Ayurveda for its anti-inflammatory properties. 

  • It pacifies aggravated Kapha and Pitta Doshas

  • Adults: 10-15 gms (1 tbsp) before bedtime
  • The children: (6-12 yrs) 5-7 gms or 1 tsp before bed
  • (12-18 years old) 8-10 gms or 3/4 tbsp before bed
  • For optimal benefits, drink 1/2 – 1 glass of lukewarm milk afterwards
